Born on February 6, 2003, in Covington, Louisiana, Ethan was the beloved son of Adam and Kelly Landry. Family members describe him as someone whose greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved. He shared an especially close bond with his siblings, including his brother Jacob, whom he considered his best friend, and sisters Zoe, Avielle, and Brinley, all of whom held a special place in his heart. His caring nature and unwavering devotion to his family made him a source of comfort and happiness for those closest to him.
A 2021 honors graduate of Avoyelles High School, Ethan approached every challenge with determination and curiosity. He began his professional journey at Chick-fil-A, where his dedication and leadership earned him recognition as “Lord of the Fries” and Team Leader of the Year. More recently, he worked as a certified Hyundai mechanic at Bill Hood in Hammond, where his strong work ethic, mechanical skills, and positive attitude earned the respect of coworkers and customers alike.
Outside of work, Ethan embraced life with enthusiasm and creativity. He enjoyed playing video games, particularly Guitar Hero and Skyrim, reading books, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and solving Rubik’s Cubes with remarkable speed. His love for the outdoors led him to enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and skateboarding, while his fascination with anime and imaginative projects reflected his curious and inventive personality. He also adored his beloved cat, Alfredo, who was a constant companion.
Friends and loved ones remember Ethan as someone who had an extraordinary ability to make others laugh while offering genuine compassion and support. Whether spending time with family, helping a friend, or embarking on a new adventure, he lived each day with gratitude and optimism. His generosity, warm smile, and joyful outlook touched countless lives and created lasting memories that those who knew him will treasure forever.
Ethan is survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family members, and many friends who will continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by several beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and great-grandparents, with whom his family finds comfort in believing he has been reunited.
Family and friends gathered to celebrate Ethan’s life on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at LN Hughes Funeral Services in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Visitation was held prior to the funeral service, followed by burial at Ponchatoula Cemetery.
Although Ethan Joseph Landry’s life was far too short, his legacy of kindness, adventure, laughter, and unconditional love will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
